Audra:

Welcome in everyone and thank you so much for joining me again this week. This week is an adventure. It's one that I've never been on. I'm really excited to go on it and my guest is going to take us on an amazing ride. My guest this week is Michelle Galoub, and she's an intuitive guide and coach. She's going to tell us what that means and how she got there, which is a fascinating story. She has embraced her gifts, which didn't come easy and definitely came as a surprise. She sees people as they are, rather than the limitations of their own sight and their own experiences. It is my pleasure and my honor to introduce to you Michelle. Michelle, thank you so much for being here and welcome to the show.

Michelle:

Thank you for having me.

Audra:

I'm really excited for you to be here. I'm super excited that we were introduced so we can meet and connect and learn more about each other. But let's start first with you're an intuitive. What does that mean? What does being an intuitive mean?

Michelle:

Well, I use, I connect to my spirit guides and those of the people that I'm doing sessions for in order to get clarity and tap into into their gifts or into tap into the areas that they need um to unblock in their lives, and I can help help them navigate um certain challenges with the guidance from their spirit guides. So I do not predict the future.

Audra:

Okay, good to know that was going to be my question. You're not a genie, nothing like that.

Michelle:

No, not a genie. I basically tap into their soul and help them navigate blockages, navigate certain areas in their life, whether it's relationships, money, what else?

Audra:

What else comes up? Love, no love, Love, sex education. What should I do?

Michelle:

with my life, my career, whatever. Yeah, all of the above. So I get everybody coming. Like you know, there are times when people are like I really don't know what to do, and they they've they've exhausted themselves of um, trying to get an answer, and they just really have no idea. And so that's where I come in. So you know, um, I have an issue in my relationship, uh, husband's behaving a certain way, and I feel so lonely, I feel isolated. What do I do? So I'll tap in. I'll say okay, these are your challenges, this is what you need to work on. Like, maybe you can learn to communicate better, maybe you're communicating in a really aggressive way, maybe. So this is what I. I'm getting this from their spirit guides.

Audra:

So this is what I'm getting this from their spirit guides. I'm not a genie Although it and I met and I instantly liked her, but I was very honest with her and said this kind of stuff makes me feel uncomfortable because I was raised to fear it. I know that that makes no sense. It's part of the religious doctrine that I was raised in, so it makes me. My instant reaction is fear, but I have been pushing myself over the last several years to push through fear and educate myself, broaden my horizons, see what's out there, and I knew that we would be safe All of us collectively would be safe with Michelle, because she's so kind and she's thoughtful and she has this tremendous empathy.

Audra:

So I wanted to preface that so everybody knows that I haven't lost my mind. But I'm really interested in discovering more, learning more and understanding, because we've heard a lot about this leaning into your intuition, following your spirit guides, that kind of thing. I want to know more about what that means. What is a spirit guide? I'm not sure that there is a clear definition, but maybe you can help us understand that a little bit better.

Michelle:

Okay. So, all right, I'm going to give you. I'm going to give you an example. Okay, first of all, I'm going to start by saying that, you know, I grew up Jewish and I was always very interested in the mystical side of things, and I remember my dad calling over a rabbi who told me specifically thou shall not, you know, talk to the spirit world. It's forbidden. Blah, blah, blah. Okay, so you get it. You totally get it, totally get it, but it was something that I was always drawn to, even though I was also very much a very like down to earth kind of brain centered person, very like left brain.

Michelle:

I'm a Capricorn, okay, so I know you told me before that you don't really know much about astrology, but Capricorns are usually very boring and very sorry to all the other Capricorns out there, but we're kind of very like, you know, methodical, to do list, hardworking, blah, blah, blah. Spirit world for a Capricorn is like what are you talking about? Be practical, don't talk airy-fairy. So that's me, that's who I was, okay, always, however, I was intrigued by this world that we weren't allowed to dabble into, okay, but then I realized it's not so much a world that we're, you know, a forbidden world of dabbling in. It's like quieting your, clutter your brain, clutter your you know the static in order to really connect to your inner voice. Okay, so I'll talk a little bit about my story, just so that you can see how I transformed from being this, that person to who I am today.

Michelle:

So I was at a time in my life that things are very challenging and my usual mo would be okay, come on, michelle, we've got to figure this out. Like you've got x, y and z. Like figure've got to figure this out. Like you've got X, y and Z. Like figure it out, do some research, call some people, deal with it, whatever else. But it got to the point that it was so freaking, overwhelming, I did not know what to do. I was like juggling in my mind like, do I do A, b or C or D or E or F? Oh my God, I couldn't figure it out.

Audra:

Are we twins? I just want to know are we twins, Because this sounds awfully familiar.

Michelle:

We're twins Yay, my long-time twin. So and I couldn't figure it out and it was driving me nuts Like how can I not figure this out? Like, come on, michelle, you're capable, you're a capable woman, you can do this. But it's exhausting. It's exhausting putting all that pressure on oneself and I didn't see a way out. It felt like really heavy. I was feeling depressed, I was feeling like hopeless and it was the first time in my life that I actually begged for help. I'm like anyone up there, please, please, I need your help. I can't figure it out anymore. I'm done. I'm done with it. I actually I was done and I think that was, that was the thing that shifted everything. I was done. So that night I was begging and I closed my eyes.

Michelle:

I had a hard time falling asleep and my spiritual teacher, who had passed away four or five months earlier, appeared at my bedside and I could see him, like I'm seeing you clearly and he's, and I'm like freaking out. I'm like, oh my God, am I asleep? Am I awake? What is this? I could see my husband sleeping next to me. I'm like freaking out. I'm like, oh my God, am I asleep? Am I awake? What is this? I could see my husband sleeping next to me. I'm like doing this with my eyes? I'm like I'm actually seeing what I'm seeing, this is nuts. So I see him in front of me and I'm like is this really you? And I hear his voice. I'm not imagining. I mean, I thought I was. I hear his voice and he says yes, it's me, you're seeing me, that's right, you're seeing me. I'm like, oh, my God, okay, well, these are my questions. I have been struggling, like, with finances. At the time I had just had a miscarriage and I was feeling horrible. I was like am I ever going to get pregnant again? And I was feeling horrible. I was like am I ever going to get pregnant again? Blah, blah, blah, blah. The questions went on and on and on. I literally was getting all the answers in his voice. I could hear him, I could see him clearly. He even when I asked about pregnancy, he handed over. I saw in his hand a newborn baby. I was like what? And he was like it's yours, you just need to do X, y and Z. So I did and I got pregnant four days later.

Michelle:

Okay, it was a crazy, crazy experience. It was like I saw. I saw God. I felt this crazy connection. It was weird. I even I admit it was a weird thing I almost didn't want to tell my husband the next day, cause I was like, what's he going to think?

Michelle:

Oh my God, I'm like I'm a weirdo now. Um, because I always I always actually looked at this intuitive world as like so woo, woo, and weird that I didn't want to have anything to do with it. Like so, not me. I used to always say this is so, not me. Anyways, I told my husband the next day. I was like you never guess what. Like this happened. And I got so much clarity. All we need to do is this, this and this.

Michelle:

And things started to slowly turn around. Um, and I felt this sense of calm. I was like, wow, like I didn't have to figure this out, I just got. I received all my answers. So obviously I was like okay, how do we? How do we do this again? I want, I want more of this. I begged for this to happen again. And it did one more time a month later. Okay, again, I saw him in my bedroom blah, blah, blah. Same thing, same feeling. It was like magic. It felt like magic, felt unusual, but it was great.

Michelle:

And then, shortly after that, I started to hear voices in my ear my left ear, only my left ear like nonstop chitter, chatter. I would meet new people and they would all be like you know, they would just be talking and I would. I would say something and they're like how do you know that? And I'm like what do you mean? I just thought it. I don't know what are you talking about? Meanwhile I'm thinking the voices are my thoughts. So I thought it was a little bit. I thought something was wrong with me. I, honestly was going to go see a doctor. It's like what is this? Like, how am I thinking so much? It's crazy and um, but it was.

Michelle:

It kept happening more and more often that, whoever I would meet, I've never told anybody that. How do you know that? How do you know? I'm like I really don't know. Um, so, uh, I I confided in one friend and I told her. I said, listen, I might be schizophrenic, I don't, I don't know what's going on with me. And she said you know, I have a feeling your third eye is open. I'm like third eye, what does that mean? So she was. I was like yeah, exactly, what is a third eye?

Michelle:

Well, it's a point right here but um, I was like I'm such a practical person so I was like what are you even talking about? She was like I think you have the ability to see. I'm like see what? What are you talking? What are you talking about? She goes, you know, I have a tarot card reader that I know. Maybe go to her and ask her, ask her to tell you if you can see. And I'm like, okay, meanwhile I used to be in fashion. Okay so, fashion business, business woman, fashion. Okay so a fashion business, a business woman. I said, okay, well, let's see, you know I'm very business minded, right.

Michelle:

So I go to the tarot card reader and I'm like okay, so what should I do with myself? Like I felt frustrated and kind of not motivated in the work that I was doing. Let's put it that way. I didn't feel like it was my purpose. I was like this is not really me, so, anyway. So I went to the tarot card reader. Just, I didn't even want to ask her, tell her about the voices or tell her about anything.

Michelle:

The cards that I start picking, all all geared towards the idea that I'm a seer Okay, the card seer, not seer seer, you know, s-e-e-r comes up and she was like, you know, you came here to channel for people in this lifetime. I was like, yeah, okay, no, no, so what can I do Like something real? What can I do Like a real job, like something new? What's my purpose? And she goes you, you came here to help people to, to help channel, channel, um, you know messages from the universe. I was like, okay, put that aside.

Michelle:

And she said she said, you know, your third eye is open. I'm like, really, another one, okay. I'm like okay, well, what does that mean? And she said well, you know. I said could you teach me? If you know what that means, then tell me what to do. And she said oh, I can teach you. Let's check with the cards and see when you'll meet your teacher. So check with the cards. Okay, when will I meet your teacher? So check with the cards. Okay, when will I meet my teacher? I thought the whole thing was bizarre.

Audra:

By the way, You're probably thinking okay, we're checking with the deck of cards, I'm going to meet a teacher. And you're so analytical and business-minded and operational. You make checklists, you like scratching them off, and you're thinking I'm going to do what I'm going to. First I'm hearing voices and now you're thinking I'm going to do what I'm going to First.

Audra:

I'm hearing voices and now you're telling me let's check the cards to see when my teacher's going to show up. I can't imagine what was going through your head at that moment, because you're such a practical person and you're like this woman sounds nuts. Does that mean I'm nuts?

Michelle:

And I'm very cynical. I'm like, yeah, prove it, prove that the cards are saying this, or prove whatever you're saying. So, yeah, I really thought this whole thing was crazy. I took it kind of with a pinch of salt. I did it for fun, like oh, fun, you know, anyway. So she said you're going to meet this woman and she's from out of town and you're going to meet her in two months. So it was January. And so she said in March you're going to meet this woman, she's going to be your teacher. Like okay, didn't believe it, didn't care, whatever, you're weird, you know. Um, so come March, uh, I remember it was like the last day of March and it did kind of play in my mind Like okay, I haven't met anyone, she's full of, you know, baloney. I'm like that was stupid.

Michelle:

Anyways, the last day of March my husband was in the car speaking to a healer because his brother has an autoimmune disorder. He's basically been bedridden for the last 12 years. So somebody he knew referred him to a healer in Argentina who could maybe do some remote healing for his brother. So so he comes to pick me up, I get in the car, he's on the phone with this woman. I was like press mute. I'm like who are you talking to? And he was like oh, this healer, you know for my brother Eric, and I'm like. I was like I think she's going to teach me. And he's like what are you talking about? I said no, watch this space. I think she's going to teach me, so I unmute. And then she was like who just got in the car? She has such big brown eyes and I'm like what? I'm like freaked out. And then my husband's like oh, I'm so sorry, my wife, you know, I'm sorry. She just got in the car. Yeah, that's my wife. And she was like oh, so nice to meet you. She's in Argentina at this point and she says I'm coming to LA next week. She never told him that. She told me that. She said I'm coming to LA next week and I must meet you. And I'm like mute again. I'm like, ah, can you believe it? I just told you she's going to teach me books. She wants to meet me. This is crazy.

Michelle:

So, anyways, we set up time to meet. I was nervous. I go to meet her at a coffee shop and she starts bawling, she starts crying and I'm like I don't do well with crying, generally speaking. So I'm like what is this woman crying about? Like, come on. And she was like they told me that I was going to meet you and I'm finally meeting you. I'm like who's they? What are you talking about?

Michelle:

She said my spirit guides, my guides, told me that I had to come to LA to meet somebody. And now I know it's you. And I was like what? So you? So you just booked a ticket without knowing what you were doing. She's like yes, I, I believe in my spirit guides.

Michelle:

I'm like okay, weird Again. I, I mean, really, I was being so judgy, I thought it was weird. And um, and she said um, she said to me I've been instructed that I need to teach you everything I know. Kind of like Mr Miyagi, Karate Kid Wax on, wax off, okay. So I was like okay, but I don't want to do what you do. I don't do readings, I'm not. For what end goal? Fine, you can teach me, but what for? And then she said your third eye is totally open. I'm like, oh, enough of this weird lingo. Um, and she said you're, you're going to really help a lot of people. You came here, this is the work that you came here to do. And I'm like, okay, whatever, again, I took it with a pinch of salt.

Michelle:

So she did teach me how to quiet my mind, because the only way you will hear your inner voice is if you quiet your mind. And she taught me like a special prayer that helps you really connect. And I remember the first time she taught me I got really like lightheaded. I don't drink, I'm not a drinker, I don't like to be out of control and I really I felt like. I felt like I don't know so dizzy and weird and woozy.

Michelle:

And then she would just say like tell me, tell me about Audra, for example. Okay, and I'm like what are you talking about? And she would say just tell me, tell me what they tell you. I was like who's they, who are you talking about? What you want me to tell you out loud? And she'd be like enough with your ego, michelle, just what you see. And I'm like this is crazy, weird stuff going on here. So she would give me people's names and she would say tap into their soul and just tell me what you see. And I thought I was making it all up, but I actually was seeing stuff. But I honestly thought this was ridiculous and I was making it up. So I would say, oh, yes, your friend Alejandra, she loves to bake. I thought I was humoring her. Yes, she loves to bake. I can see her in the kitchen. I close my eyes and I'm like she loves baking.

Michelle:

I said, but she's upset with her son Meanwhile. How would I know this? I don't know. My teacher is going yes, yes, she is. Here's her son's name. She would give me her son's name, tell her son that she is upset. And I'm like this is very strange. You want me to tell, tell her son right now, out loud, like very bizarre. And she said yes, you're, you're communicating with their soul. They'll, they'll, they'll hear it and understand. So I'd say Okay, son, you're, you know, your mother's upset with you and you should do X, y and Z. And it was all just. I could hear it very clearly. Um, it was all just coming to me and um.

Michelle:

But I still thought I was making it up, honestly. And that was the only thing she taught me was she kept giving me names and names and names and tell me about this. Or she would give me, uh, an address. Tell me what you see. Do you see brick? Do you see like stone, what do you see? How many stories, how many. I'm like, okay, I thought the whole thing was crazy.

Michelle:

Um, but in that process crazy, but in that process I started to a learn how to manage the voices right, because that's all I wanted. That was my end goal. My end goal, I said help me get, help me get these voices to disappear, because I don't, it's not fun for me. And so she said, she said to me your, these voices are your guides speaking to you. I said no, it's not, they're my, it's my thoughts. And she said, no, you just don't know the difference between your thoughts and what's coming to you. And through practice you will learn the difference. You will learn how to differentiate between your thoughts and your messages that you're receiving.

Michelle:

And yeah, so I practiced for nine months, just continuously people's names, with no end goal of doing readings. I never wanted to do readings. And then I had a friend come stay over and I just told her. I said you want to play with me, you want to just like, have fun together, and I'm going to. You know, do I'll do with you what I do, what I practice with my teacher? And she said okay, and both her parents passed away.

Michelle:

So she said can we tap into my mother and tap into my father and can we tap into all my ex-boyfriends? And so, um, I'm like okay, um, and so you know, she received so much clarity. I'm thinking it's fun, fun and games. It was fun and light, you know, but she can, like we were able to connect to her mother and and I don't like to say speak to her mother, I'm not, you know, I'm connecting to her soul and I'm able to to hear what she has to say.

Michelle:

And it gave her a lot of clarity because she was very upset with her mother, very angry that her mother left her at such a young age. And there was, there were so many feelings there and we were able to, I don't know, to release all of those emotions that she had and she was able to get a better understanding of who her mother really was. And it was just an amazing experience, even for me. I was like, ooh, this is actually, is real, this actually works. And and then, when it came to the ex-boyfriends, her question was like, why did they break up with me? Why did they break up?

Michelle:

And it was fun, you know and the very last boyfriend that she gave me. She was like why did he break up with me? And I hear his voice and he says what is she talking about? I didn't break up with her. She broke up with me. And I'm like huh. So I didn't really trust myself. So I said well, I don't. Are you sure he broke up with you? Cause it feels like you broke up with him. And she then freaks out. She was like oh my God, I was just putting him in for the test to test you. And, um, yeah, so. So after that she met her now husband two weeks later, because I feel like she cleared out all the the junk in her trunk, let's put it that way and she was so blown away blown away by that experience that she went and told her friends.

Michelle:

And then I started getting phone calls Are you the soul whisperer? And I'm like what? And I was like no, not really. Well, your friend told me about you and I'd really like to have a session. That's how it all started. So I knew and I rejected it. I didn't want it, but I knew that it was like divinely created for me, because you don't understand how many times I rejected it. Like many, I did not want this. I did not want to be known as this woo-woo weirdo because I had major issues about it myself. But that's how it all happened. That is how my journey started with this, and it was all word of mouth for years.

Audra:

First of all, the story that you tell. There's lots of parallels that I can hear and I can see in other people's lives and my life. You're led to something and you reject it and reject it almost self-sabotage. And then when you finally lean into it, you're like, oh, okay, this is how this goes. But what I want to focus on here for a moment, because you are so analytical how did you finally have the strength and the bravery to lean into something that you didn't want and at first didn't understand, thought you were crazy and we're all rational. People would go you need your head examined. You need to. This is nuts. Just make it all stop. Go back to writing your list and writing and checking things off. There is a point where there is some bravery involved, where you just have to say, okay, I need to lean in against what my analytical mind is saying to me and lean into this feeling what did that, how did that come about and how did you feel through that process?

Michelle:

It happened in waves, so I would reject it, I would close myself off, I didn't want anything to do with it. And then it just kept reappearing in front of me. New people would just be like, hey, is this what you do? And I'm like, oh God, no, it isn't, you know. So, um, but I did realize, I mean I, there did come a point that I accepted it, because I just saw how many times it just kept coming back and I and I realized that my life had really actually turned around when I started to do it for myself.

Michelle:

Okay, um, you know, I needed guidance in whatever area. Like, okay, I would just quiet my mind, I would ask the question, I would say, okay, please, universe, could call it universe, your spirit guides, whatever you want to call it. I just would quiet my mind and I would receive answers. And that was crazy game changer for me. It gave me a sense of calm, a sense of like, like, no anxiety, like I, I got, I've got this, I, I know what to do next, I don't need to be worried about anything, the universe has my back. So me and the universe became like besties, and and I guess that's that's when I said, okay, that's it. Like, what am I, what am I doing? Like I kept pushing it away, pushing it away.

Michelle:

Um, but I really realized that that the that I didn't really feel that chaos in my life anymore and I said you know what, if I, if I could experience that for myself, I would love to help other people experience that and give them clarity, like because clearly it's my gift. And and I just I told I literally had a conversation out loud Again I thought like a weirdo say okay, universe, fine, you want me to do this, fine, I will. Fine. You know, like, I guess this is what I'm supposed to do. Fine, you know, I'm not going to fight it anymore, because there was this resistance, there was this fight, there was an embarrassment also, like oh no, I used to have this really glamorous business in fashion.

Michelle:

This isn't glamorous, this is embarrassing. I was like how am I going to tell anybody? I didn't want to tell I was so embarrassed, but it just I didn't have to do anything, I didn't do any marketing, I didn't do anything and it just kept flowing. Let's put it that way. There was a flow. I didn't, I didn't look for it, it came to me and really that's how I knew this is it. There was no once. I accepted it, just client after client after client.

Audra:

And yeah, and that's that's how I made the transition, that's how I made the transition, which I think they have said that what is for you will find you, and they've also. I've also heard that when you are in flow, things are much easier. I haven't experienced enough flow in my life because I'm constantly resisting everything, because I'm a I'm a fighter, I was born a fighter, I've always been a fighter, I'm a fighter. I was born a fighter, I've always been a fighter, I'm a fighter.

Audra:

But I think it's beautiful that, especially when you and I first met, one of the things that you said to me, which I said in the intro, is that you have the privilege to see people as they are, rather than with their very narrow view of themselves. I think that is such a tremendous gift and what a gift that you give to those individuals. And your heart happens to be with women because, let's face it, we carry a lot, and women were coming to you saying I just need a little guidance, I need some help, I need some clarity. Were there any stories in that that you can share with us that have been your favorite of you got to speak with them and help them clear a path to where they were, something they were obviously struggling with.

Michelle:

Yeah, so it's interesting, so it's true. I have to be honest, I am human right, so it's not like love and joy for everybody. Somebody actually that I knew kept asking me for a session, for a reading, and I as a person didn't really jive with her personality. I used to get very triggered let's put it that way Very triggered by so many things about this person. Anyways, she kept asking me and asking me and asking me and I kept saying I'm sorry, I'm busy, blah, blah, blah, making up stuff. And she said I feel like you don't want to do a session for me. I was like no, no, of course I do. All right, we'll schedule it in a couple of weeks.

Michelle:

So come the day of the session, I remember telling my husband I was like what should I do? I don't actually like her as a person. She really annoys me Like she triggers, she pushes all my buttons. What do I do? He said this is not about you, like connect to your guides and come from a higher vibration and you can help her. I was like he's right, like I do this work, I should know that. So I remember that morning I really struggled. I go meet her and as I'm doing the session, I'm like my heart is like expanding. I'm like, oh my God, she's an amazing soul. Like I could see her in her fullest capacity. She was a powerhouse. Meanwhile, all her behaviors that I did not like were all coming from her childhood, from her baggage, her insecurities, whatever horrible childhood she had. I had no idea. I had no idea about that. Like when I knew her as a person I mean not in the, not in the session, you know I had no idea and um, I started to see her. For for this amazing, bright soul, not not annoying person like some amazing soul who has so much to offer this world, who basically couldn't see, she couldn't see herself Because so many people like me judged her because she was annoying. She is annoying, but she was only annoying. She was only annoying because she really wanted to. She overcompensated and wanted to prove herself. And once she was able to, I helped her tap into who she really is, helped her see her value, what she brings to the table in all areas of her life, helped her really connect to the essence of who she is. She was empowered. At the end of our session she was like, oh my God, like you're right, this is who I am, because when you connect to somebody's essence, you're really truly connecting to their soul and who they really are, not this persona that they show you. And it was. It was really life-changing.

Michelle:

That session for me was magical, because I didn't think it would be possible for me, who got so irritated by this individual, to have so much love for her and to see her in a completely different light. And I remember coming home and telling my husband I'm like, I'm like there should be a movement. It's like, and the movement should be like. You know I forgot what, I even told him, but something along the lines of like you know what's your baggage? Share your baggage, hashtag what's your baggage, you know, because we are not our baggage, we are these beautiful souls that have so much to offer. And, yeah, so that that, I would say, was one of my most impactful sessions because I really could feel so much love and it had.

Michelle:

And then after that, it happened several times over those people I personally would get triggered by. Not only was I helping them, helping them see who they are, I was actually receiving messages from myself to help me transform my judgment of them to love and judgment of myself. Because obviously I'm getting triggered because it's a mirror of you know something in me. You know, I felt she was entitled. I don't ask for enough. I don't ask enough. So I was like, how could she ask for this, that and the other, and I don't get anything? I'm doing all the hard work because I have an issue with receiving and I don't get anything. I'm doing all the hard work because I have an issue with receiving and I don't know how to. I'm too much of a giver. So, yes, I got triggered by her. It's not nothing to do with her. She's a beautiful person.

Audra:

So, yeah, what a what an amazing experience. I'm sitting here listening to it, thinking if we could just do that with each other, whether we are leaning into our intuition or not which, by the way, I do believe that everybody is born with intuition. We just don't always listen to our intuition, but I believe everybody has it. But if we just leaned in a little bit more to our humanity rather than our baggage, what a much better world this would be. I think that you had a tremendous experience with a woman that you're like. I just don't get along with her. This is going to be irritating.

Michelle:

You probably went in with your shoulders stiff and not excited to be there I actually begged the universe to help me get myself out of the picture, get my ego out, and it was a hard struggle. So when I, when I actually showed up, I was like totally with with her spirit, guides and mine, mine, pushing me to not judge her and and hers and hers to reveal who she really is.

Audra:

What an amazing thought if we all approached each other like that and checked our ego at the door and allowed each other to see each other how we really are, rather than our representative.

Michelle:

Exactly. You know how many of us walk around. We're like walking personas and I I see it like in my sessions. I'll tell somebody like drop the persona. You're like why? Why are you showing people this when you're really this? And a lot of times they're like bawling because they know it's the truth, you know, but we all do it. It's like our protection, it's our, you know, it's not easy.

Audra:

It's their armor that we've put on, that we've had to learn how to develop because of previous hurts, lots of childhood trauma that I mean, let's face it, we're a bunch of Gen Xers. We, we carry a lot of trauma that we don't talk about because we weren't allowed. So we we, but we've learned how to put on armor to arm against whatever that was that we're that we were hurt against and we walk around like what. What I think is really fascinating is that the lessons that you are learning, the things that you are doing, you don't have to be an intuitive to do, which I think is so remarkable that you are just a supercharged human. Basically, you are more in touch with yourself and therefore you can be in touch with other people.

Audra:

But we can do that for ourselves, and what I'd like to do with you is is see if you can teach me and the audience on how to quiet our minds and kind of tamp down the noise, because we all have plenty of noise going on. I mean, I have 85 things going on at any given time, even right now, as you and I are recording. I have emails going off, I have pings going off, I have dogs rustling in the background. I have all kinds of stuff that is stimulating me and I know that that keeps me separate from hearing that small, quiet voice and I listen.

Michelle:

I'm sure you do get that small, quiet voice. You know, at times like oh Audra, you know, put your seatbelt on. Oh, audra, did you turn off the oven? You, you've received, we've all received our little cues from the universe. The key, though, is to know how we receive it. Did you see it as an image of the oven? Did you hear a voice? Did you just know, like the oven's on, I didn't turn it off. You know we receive our messages through our five senses, so our sixth sense is an extension of our five senses. So you know, seeing, touch, feeling, all you know, all of it.

Michelle:

What I recommend is to to create a kind of a fixed time every day where you dedicate intentionally to switch off the noise, okay, so. So let's say you wake up at six, so from 615 to 630, and I'm not one who I don't have patience for things. Okay, so, I don't want, I'm not one, to sit and meditate for an hour. No, that's not me Not going to happen, like I have too many things to do, but I'll dedicate 15 minutes, not a big deal, to um, to an activity, any activity that requires zero thinking. Okay now, personally, for me, meditation doesn't always work, because meditation quiets some noise, but it gets me so clear about my to-do list. Not good, okay. So I'm like, okay, meditation is not my thing, this is not. There's no standard, okay. But I'll tell you, what does get my mind really clear is a long shower. I love showers. I get all my best ideas in the shower. I'm like, oh yes, this is what I need to do. So a long shower. It could be doing the dishes. You know, when you're just mindlessly doing things, folding the laundry, could be going for a walk in nature, could be going for a swim, you know any activity listening to white noise, that's a good one for me. White noise or the sound of rain, which you can find on YouTube, you can just type it in just for 15 minutes. I zone out, zone out. From this reality and ideas come to me. Flow happens, okay.

Michelle:

So that's the key. You've got to quiet your mind. You've got to train your body to know, okay, my body, at between 615 and 630, is the most open to receiving messages. Now, if you ask a question to your guides, they're not going to necessarily answer you on the spot. That's not how it works. It's not like a phone call. I need to know this? Well, the answer is this. So a lot of people get frustrated saying my guides don't speak to me. It's not true. Basically, you're not hearing them because your brain is too cluttered.

Michelle:

You're, in the way it's like a radio station. So if you want to be able to hear your guides or your inner voice whatever you want to call it, your guidance, you've got to be tuned into the right station. So let's say the station is 106.2. If you're tuned into 105.8, you may hear a little bit here and there. You're not going to hear it clearly, which means you're going to get like scattered messages that don't make sense. So it's like being on a frequency. You've got to raise your frequency to that level and that's the only way to do it is to quiet the mind and engage in an activity. It's going to help you raise that frequency. There are a lot of sound meditations, breath work. Those are other ways to raise the frequency, but it's the consistency and getting into the habit of doing it that will create the opening so that you'll be able to connect. You'll be able to tap into that inner voice and knowing how you receive it, that's key.

Audra:

What do you mean by that?

Michelle:

Okay, so we all receive it we receive our messages in different ways. You know. There's clairvoyance, where you're able to see, you know, and then you hear, like I had the voices right. There are people who are empaths. They feel it in their body, like, oh, that person has anxiety. When I do a reading for somebody and my guides are telling me, oh, this person has anxiety, my heart starts to, you know, like pitter patter and I can feel this like heaviness. I feel like an elephant sitting on me and I'm like, oh, I can't breathe. You know so, I know, that's my signal. That's the way my guides are telling me that person is a very anxious person. I'm like, oh, yeah, they really are. They need to do, they need to breathe, they need to drink water or whatever. It is Okay, um, um. There's clear cognizance where you just know, like information just drops in. You're like, oh, I just, I know that about that person. Like, you know, we all have it.

Michelle:

You, you may walk into a building and you'd be like, no, this place doesn't give me good vibes, got to leave Bad juju here, don't like it. We all have it. It's about recognizing those moments when we have received guidance in the past and knowing how our guides are speaking to us, so they speak to me literally in my ear, and I see, now I've been able to develop all the senses I actually can tap into. I can smell even um, you, if you gave me an address, I would be able to smell the mold in there, if there was mold in there. So, or the dust, I can smell it, um, so yeah, so, so it's, but so, yeah, so it's about knowing which one of those senses are most tuned in for you. That you've already experienced, like you walk into a building that's like creepy, you're going to maybe have goosebumps, maybe that's your signal.

Audra:

Oh yeah, we all feel that.

Audra:

I know that everybody can relate to when you go somewhere and you're like I need to get out of here, there's something weird here, I need to get away from it.

Audra:

Or being around a person that immediately gives you a red flag and you're like I don't know what's wrong, I just need to get away.

Audra:

I mean, we've all had those feelings. But what I think is really amazing is that you can harness that. But you're also saying an important point is that don't be discouraged if it doesn't work the first, fifth, tenth time, because this takes practice, because we are inundated with overstimulation all the time and, just like a muscle, we're going to need to learn how to quiet all of that stimulation, all the noise, so then we can get really, really quiet and hear what we need to hear. Everybody's born with this. It's tuning into it and allowing it and guiding you because that's also key from what I've been learning from you is that allowing that to happen and to listen, hear, feel is the next step. Not just doing it, but now letting it flow through, which for a lot of us that's probably difficult is that's probably the most difficult part of all of this, because our analytical brains go like crazy and and try to convince us that we're nuts.

Michelle:

We get in our way. Yes, you know it does take time, but the more practice you do, the more you will be able to trust yourself. It took me eight months of practice, and I remember when I did my first reading, I still felt like an imposter. I was like, oh my God, like people are paying me. Now I'm making this up. It feels like it felt the same as it always had, like I'm making it up, but then I started to get validation. I'd be like, yes, yes, that is, that's right, that's oh my God, how do you know? And I'm like, oh, this is even to this day, all these years later, I, in a session, I'll say something. I do. I trust myself now, though, but I'm always blown away when people are like, yeah, that's, that's exactly right, oh my God. And I'm like, oh, that's so weird, you know so, um, it does take practice, and it takes um, it takes just trusting yourself.

Michelle:

You, you've already had times in your life that you know that you were right. You know it's not you, you, you. You know that you received a message about something. When we, when we start to trust ourselves, we get more into our flow, like all these amazing synchronicities will happen Like. Opportunities will open up. You know you'll meet. You'll meet um. If you're, you know, in the business world and you're looking for an investor, you'll meet. Your investor will just land at your, at your, at your doorstep. You'll meet them on a bus or something, who knows. You know it's so like like the universe will be on your side. You will have the universe as your best friend who's just guiding you.

Michelle:

So what I always recommend is to talk to our spirit guides. There are guides up there for anything that we need. We just need to call on them. And a lot of us I always use this analogy, actually, in my sessions, because a lot of us feel bad for calling our guides. Maybe it's a loved one who passed away. I don't want to bother them. You're not bothering them, they're. Lot of us feel bad for calling our guides. Maybe the loved one who passed away. Well, I don't want to bother them, you're not bothering them.

Michelle:

They're waiting for us. It's like going into a restaurant and they are your waiters, okay. And so they come in. You walk into the restaurant. They say you know what can we get you today? And a lot of us are like, oh, no, no, it's okay, it's okay, don't worry. Don't worry, I know where the kitchen is, I know there's, I know where the fridge is. I'll just, I'll just make something myself. But these are your guides and they're like saying no, but what can I get you? They're there to serve you and and so many of us are like no, no, it's okay, we'll just, we'll handle it, it's okay. And they're sitting there waiting. They're waiting and waiting.

Michelle:

So there are guides that can help with. You know, you need a good dentist. You can't find a good dentist. You call your dental guides. There are all different kinds of guides that you can just call upon. You know you want, you want to sell your home. You call your real estate guides and they will. You're basically asking them to help you in the process. That way, you're not on your own.

Michelle:

So many of us, especially women, we feel like we're on our own. We're dealing with so much and a lot of us, even in our relationships, feel alone. I feel like, oh, I have to handle this, I got to do this, I got to do this, I got to do that and I got to do this. And if we could invite our guides and know that we are not on our own and it's like we have a whole team of people working with us. It's like a whole different ballgame. It's like completely different. You're not going to feel on your own, you're going to feel supported and you don't have to figure everything out. That's the beauty of it, you don't?

Michelle:

I think I shared with you my example of when I was debating whether to homeschool my kids Did I tell you you did yeah. So there was this whole question should I homeschool, should I not? Should I send my daughter to a regular school? She's a very social girl. Homeschooling feels a little bit not quite right. But I wasn't sure. So I didn't sit and stress myself. I did my research to know, you know, what kind of homeschools are out there, what regular schools are out there. But this is when I surrendered and I said you know, I don't know the answer. I know my daughter, but I still don't know what's best for her. I'm going to ask my guides. I'm going to ask my guides. And so I did. And um, and I asked for a sign. I said, please show me a sign.

Michelle:

I, I personally felt more inclined towards the homeschooling idea. But you know, I said, you know, I'm not going to decide I'm going to, I'm going to just let it go, surrender, let it go to the universe. I'm not going to figure it out, it's too stressful for me to figure it out. And my neighbor was moving out and um, and I and I saw a brand new pottery barn desk sitting on the front lawn. I was like what are you doing with that that desk? He said I'm, I'm moving, it's the only thing I couldn't sell.

Michelle:

And, and you know, when we were, when we were selling everything, it was the only thing that didn't sell. Do you want it? I was like, well, I couldn't have thought of a better sign than that. Yes, I want it. And that was my sign. Yes, could I have gone to the store and bought a desk? Absolutely, I could have, but it was a pain in the butt and I didn't want to do it. I was like, oh, I don't really feel like doing that, but it just it landed on my doorstep, literally, literally. And so I started homeschooling her and that was the best option.

Audra:

I really took it as the universe speaking to me. The fact that you are also not only are you performing this for others, but for yourself is a great testament to what you do and leaning into your gifts, and I think that that is tremendous, because we're all given gifts to do something here on this planet that we don't always get to use, and I think that that's amazing, that not only do you use it for yourself, but you give it to others. This has been such an educational afternoon with you. I've learned a lot. It doesn't seem nearly as weird as it once did, or it doesn't seem nearly as off-limits as it was once presented to me. So I appreciate very much you spending the time with me, taking the time to educate me, also to educate the audience, also to educate the audience and letting them know that you can tune into the right frequency. You just have to practice and allow it to happen.

Audra:

So thank you for spending the time with us and for being here, if the audience would like to get in contact with you and learn more about you, or even have a reading with you. How would they get in contact with you?

Michelle:

and learn more about you, or even have a reading with you.

Audra:

How would they get in contact with you, they go to my website which is michellegalubecom. Should I spell it out? I will actually have that. I'll put it in the show notes. I'll have your link, the show notes, so they can go straight to the link, and it'll take you straight to your website.

Michelle:

Okay, perfect, yeah, so yeah, they can go to my website and, and you know there's a, there's a few videos on there that they can watch. Um, what else? Yeah, no, and and yeah, they can. Um, there's a way to message me on there.

Audra:

Um, yeah, can't really think of how else they can get in touch. Yeah, I think that's the best way to do it. If you have a curiosity, if you have questions, if you want to meet with her, please reach out to her on her website. She will respond. She is lovely, she is warm, she's a normal person, guys. She's an absolute normal person and she's lovely. Again, michelle, thank you so much for being here. I truly, truly appreciate it.

Michelle:

Again, michelle thank you so much for being here. I truly, truly appreciate it. Thank you, thank you so much, thank you. I feel you. I feel you in my heart no-transcript.
